JANUS

JANUS buyer’s guide

Banking report management.
Start with the statement journey.

Updated 1 October 2026

For Philippine banking and financial-services teams evaluating report and document management, a useful starting point is simple: what happens when someone needs a historical statement?

JANUS brings reports and statements into a searchable repository with controlled access, distribution, retention, legal holds, and activity history. A scoped proof of concept should establish how those capabilities meet your actual report journey.

Three business journeys to evaluate

Customer statement retrieval

Identify the details a branch user knows at the start of a request. Evaluate how they locate the relevant statement, verify that it is the right record, and obtain access within their assigned scope.

Daily branch reporting

Follow a report from availability through use. Establish who needs it, where they access it, and how operations teams resolve missing or unexpected records.

Audit and retention review

Select a record with known retention requirements. Review its activity, test how a hold affects its lifecycle, and establish who can approve disposal.

Connected statement delivery

Determine which customer portals or business applications need documents. Define the permitted audience and the evidence needed to review delivery activity.

Build a representative pilot

Choose a small set of current and historical report families. Include examples with different page counts, formats, and organizational scopes. For AFP and PDF statements, agree on how the team will assess readability, layout, indexing, and the completeness of the retrieved record.

Where JANUS creates business value

Customer-facing teams get a shared place to find records. Operations teams gain a clearer view of report handling. Oversight teams can review recorded activity and lifecycle controls. The size of any benefit must be measured against your current process; no fixed savings percentage is assumed.

Plan for your environment

Discuss cloud or on-premises preferences, identity requirements, organizational scope, integration needs, historical records, and support expectations. Your compliance team should map the agreed configuration to applicable policies. A software capability alone does not establish regulatory compliance.

“EDMS” is established procurement language in the Philippines, including in BSP procurement material. That terminology helps frame a buying discussion; it does not imply JANUS is used or endorsed by BSP.
